This evening we bring two worlds together in one space. We listen to our Yang side and then relax wonderfully in the Yin mode.
Ecstatic Dance is all about dancing as if no one is watching; dancing without the judgement of others and without judging yourself. It is a form of dance in which you are allowed to surrender and move freely while the music takes you along to the rhythm. There is no choreography and you just intuitively move your body as you like to the rhythm of the music. You decide whether your movement is big or very small and quiet. You decide whether you want to shake, jump, or just sway gently from side to side.
Ecstatic dance is a mindful party where you simply move to the rhythm of the music, all the stress and tension out of your body. You follow the beat, the flow of your breathing and the movement of your body and you let all the tension and stress flow away.
Although Ecstatic Dance has become increasingly popular in recent years, it is definitely not a contemporary activity. This form of dance has been practiced for a very long time throughout history and is known as a meditative activity that helps us release stress and tension.
We make a beautiful journey from movement to silence. To a deep form of relaxation where you float between sleep and full awareness.
In this second part of the evening you will be guided by me through a Yoga Nidra. This ancient yogic technique, also known as “yogic sleep”, embraces the art of deep relaxation and awareness. Unlike regular sleep, Yoga Nidra combines physical, mental and spiritual aspects to achieve a complete state of relaxation and restoration.
A form of guided meditation where you only have to follow my voice, surrendering yourself to a deep state of relaxation. During the practice of Yoga Nidra we activate the parasympathetic nervous system, training the subconscious to release stress and stay in a peaceful state of mind.
A deep experience where you feel complete relief and lightness at the end. An evening where you can let go of all self-doubt and learn to listen to the inner wisdom of your body.
Although following Yang & Yin 1 forms a whole, it is of course also possible to only follow the first or only the second part.
